The United Way of Northern California through the North State Equity Fund (NSEF) recently announced it was awarding a total of $70,000 in grants to 17 non-profits working to advance community building and address disparities in our region. North State Together’s The Alliance Project is proud to be a 2021 award recipient of the Fund.
The Alliance Project will aim to create a culturally responsive community that works for all. Providing our community with the critical resources needed to promote togetherness in the North State is a primary goal of The Alliance Project. Scaling the Umoja program under the umbrella of North State Together to serve our community more broadly will be our next phase. Building on our existing local and regional partnerships, The Alliance Project will work to ensure access to education and to alleviate disparities among our underserved populations in our region. By fostering meaningful connections and engagement with community partners we can create positive lasting change.
The Alliance Project will be located in the Shasta College Community Leadership Center expected to be completed in downtown Redding in 2022.
