DESCRIPTION:Partners for Rural Impact\, The University of North Carolina Charlotte and Save the Children invite you to attend the 2023 Rural Summit in Charlotte\, North Carolina\, April 2-5\, 2023. The Summit provides an opportunity for college access and success practitioners to share best practices for supporting rural students on their journey to college. Breakout sessions will offer real world advice from experienced practitioners on topics such as social and emotional learning\, community partnerships\, and how artificial intelligence (AI) can be used to build stronger supports for students. \nOne of the few national convenings to focus on rural America\, the Summit brings together teachers\, principals\, superintendents\, higher education leaders\, legislators\, and non-profit leaders to share ideas and strategies for ensuring that rural youth have the opportunity to successfully transition from high school to college and career. \nOther Information \nOn April 5\, there will be a FREE special post-session. Strong facilitation skills can drive your ability to get better results for people in your community. Join this 12-week course to learn how to facilitate groups and move them from talk to action\, make collaborative decisions and hold meeting participants accountable for advancing the work. \nEach comprehensive course is 8-12 weeks long and consists of live learning sessions and prework each week. All comprehensive courses offered have limited seats available. Selected participants will be notified of acceptance up to three weeks prior to the course start date. \nWHEN: This 12-week course runs Monday\, February 6 – Friday\, April 28\, 2023. DESCRIPTION:How do you change a system? If “every system is perfectly designed to get the results it gets\,” then designing strategies that target and improve the systems is essential for systems change work. Join this 10-week\, team-based course to uncover and prioritize systemic challenges\, connect to outcome improvement\, and identify strategies that directly impact the challenges you have uncovered. The total time commitment for this course is 15 hours over 10 weeks. Team leads receive an additional 5 hours of customized coaching support. \nWhen: This 10-week course runs Tuesday\, February 7 – Friday\, April 14\, 2023. Over the 10 weeks\, your team will learn about system-focused factor or root cause analysis and strategy development\, have a change to apply your learning to the work you are already doing in your community and receive coaching support.
