Corinne Ewing
Director of Planning & Development
Corinne Ewing is a passionate leader able to make positive change through collaboration. As Director of Planning and Development for North State Together, a Cradle to Career collective impact partnership in rural Northern California, she fuels innovation to empower individuals and teams.
Corinne began her educational journey at Shasta College, completing an Associate of Arts in Social Sciences. She continued her education earning a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Simpson University, and a Master of Science in Human Resources combined with a Graduate Certificate in Organizational Leadership from the University of Massachusetts.
Her career at Shasta College began in 2017 as an Administrative Assistant for Business, Agriculture, Industry, Technology, and Safety. When a position opened in Human Resources in 2018, she jumped on the opportunity to transition into the field. She has served as a Human Resources Analyst, Lead Human Resources Specialist, and most recently as the Program Coordinator – Professional Development. She also serves as a board member for the California Community College Council for Professional Development (4CPD) a non-profit organization and acts as their conference coordinator. These roles have allowed her to follow her career passion of employee advocacy, engagement, and organizational leadership.
As the Program Coordinator – Professional Development, her creative skills thrived as she built the framework for a sustainable training and development program with a focus on employee engagement. She spearheaded programs such as the Classified Leadership and New Employee Engagement Academies and implemented an Employee Celebration Week in addition to revisioning the Employee Recognition Awards. She designed and led initiatives targeting positive culture shifts post-pandemic and was awarded a two-year grant from the California Community College Chancellor’s Office in response to these efforts.
Outside of work, Corinne enjoys spending time with her husband and canine companions, Mazikeen and Caliber. She can often be found at home either reading or cooking. She is always up for a good escape room and loves to be around friends and family.
