K-16 EDUCATION COLLABORATIVE

Since being awarded $18.13 million through the Regional K-16 Education Collaboratives Grant Program in May 2022, North State Together, sponsored by the Shasta College Foundation, has made significant strides in advancing the goals of the grant. Now in year three of the four-year program, this initiative continues to strengthen partnerships across the expanded 10-county region of Northern California, which includes Lassen, Butte, Sierra, Plumas, and Glenn counties in addition to the original five-county network.

Through this funding, North State Together has deepened collaborations with key higher education partners, including College of the Siskiyous, Butte-Glenn Community College District, Feather River College, California State University, Chico, and University of California, Davis. These partnerships have been instrumental in driving innovative strategies to align education and workforce pathways, enhance student success, and support economic recovery across the North State.

As we approach the final year of the grant, North State Together remains focused on ensuring the sustainability of these impactful initiatives, empowering communities to continue building pathways to long-term success for students and families in the region.
