Derrick Pringle
Program Coordinator
Derrick has held several key positions in the field of athletics and education. As the Head Women’s Basketball Coach at Bethel College in Kansas, he directed the basketball team both on and off the court, achieving the highest GPA (3.2) among all athletic teams. He was an active participant in community service projects and an organizer of local basketball camps and leagues.
At Simpson University, Derrick served as the Head Women’s Basketball Coach and Assistant Athletic Director. In these roles, he led community service initiatives, organized free basketball camps for the community, and served as the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) director. He also took on responsibilities as the athletic department’s community services coordinator and game management director.
Derrick also worked as the Head Men’s Basketball Coach and Athletic Director at Puget Sound Christian College. Here, he managed the athletic department, oversaw budgeting, and organized community service projects. He was responsible for hiring student workers and coaching staff within the athletic administration.
Derrick holds a Master of Education in Educational Leadership from Simpson University.
Outside of his professional life, Derrick enjoys listening to music on an old record player, embarking on road trips with his family, and tending to yard work. Derrick and his family have been proud residents of Redding for 15 years. He is married to Nicole Pringle, and they have three children.
